How to Delete Your Pinglo Account
If you wish to delete your Pinglo account and all associated data, you can do so directly from within the Pinglo app.
Steps to Request Account Deletion:
- Open the Pinglo App on your Android device.
- Navigate to the Settings tab located in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page.
- Tap on the "Delete Account" button.
- Read the confirmation prompt and tap "Confirm Deletion" to proceed.
Alternatively, if you no longer have access to the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at support@pinglo.app from your registered email address or phone number.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
Data That Is Deleted Immediately:
- Your personal profile information (Name, Phone Number, Email).
- Your active session and authentication tokens.
- Your connection to any business as a staff member.
- Your device push notification tokens.
Data That Is Anonymized or Retained:
- Payment Records: If you are a Business Owner, the payment records generated by your business are retained for historical accounting purposes but are fully decoupled from your personal identity.
- Shift Logs: Staff shift handovers are retained for the Business Owner's records but any personal identifiers are anonymized.
Data Retention Period
Upon requesting account deletion through the app, the deletion process begins immediately. All personal identifiers are removed from our active databases within 24 hours. Backups containing your data may take up to 30 days to be fully overwritten and purged in accordance with our standard backup retention policy.
